What a printed book is like
Thick pages that survive small hands, bright color on every page, and up to six personal pages you can add.
Six personal pages you can add
Every printed book can carry a few pages that are yours alone. Fill them in, leave them blank to write by hand, or skip any of them.
Every book can read itself aloud
Press the button and listen. The words light up as they are read. It comes with every book, digital or printed, and a finished book plays it as a movie: full screen, page by page, over soft music.
Or in a voice they know. Record the book in your own voice, or text a link to Grandma so she can read each page from her phone. No account needed. The book then plays her voice.
Common questions
Is the digital book included with a printed book?
Yes. Both printed options include the digital book, ready the moment your book finishes.
How long until a printed book arrives?
About two weeks door to door. Around the holidays the site shows an order-by date for delivery in time.
Can I see the whole book before it prints?
Yes. You read and approve every page in the editor before anything is printed.
What if a page comes out wrong?
Draw it again. Three redraws are free before you buy, and fifteen more come with the full book.
Where do you ship?
Printed books ship to 50 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and most of Europe. The digital book works anywhere.
What is the QR code in a printed book?
Printed books have a page near the back with a QR code. Scan it with a phone camera and the book opens online to watch as a movie, read in your family's recorded voice when there is one, even one recorded after the book arrives. It works as long as the book is in your account, and you can switch the page off and on from the Share window.
Is there a coloring book?
Yes, as a printout you make at home. The Coloring Book Printout turns your cover and the 12 story pictures into pages to color, each with that page's words. It is a PDF, nothing is shipped, and it costs $9.99. It is made once your pictures are final, with two updates included.
Is checkout secure?
Payment runs through Stripe. We never see or store your card.
